We cannot be healthy ourselves if our planet is not healthy. This means that we should take care of our fellow animals, plants and our environment in general. After all, we are all in this life together.

One thing which we can try to do is to avoid eating food which has been intensively farmed, or that which has notched up too many air miles on its way to our plates. Supporting local farmers markets or subscribing to one of the many box schemes is a great way to buy local, organic fruit, vegetables and other products. Everyone benefits including you who will be eating healthier food, bursting with nutrients.

One such scheme is offered by  http://www.abelandcole.co.uk/

Likewise, we should be mindful of whether the products which we use have been tested on animals. A list of beauty and household products, known as "The Compassionate Shopping Guide" is published each year.  See http://www.naturewatch.org/ for further details.
