A must for all would-be and already- sprouters. It explains the health benefits of sprouts, how to grow them and includes chapters on troubleshooting and recipes.

Cellular Awakening by Barbara Wren

An inspiring book, exploring how our cells can heal, not just physically but at all levels. Wren shows us how our human potential is far greater than we can possibly imagine and is actually intrinsically linked with what is happening within our cells. The book includes a useful section on naturopathic techniques.

Biology of Belief by Bruce Lipton

A must read for anyone wishing to take personal responsibliity for their health. This book shows us that DNA and genes do not run the show as we are led to believe. Our biology is controlled instead by signals from outside the cell, including energetic messages of our thoughts. This means that we no longer need to be victims of our genetic makeup, and we CAN do something to help ourselves. This is the new science of epigentics. Simply written, Lipton is inspiring.

Audio CD: Biology of Belief by Bruce Lipton

For those who like to listen to their books. Bruce Lipton is utterly fascinating and inspiring. See above for more details.

Audio CD: Your Body is Your Subconscious Mind by Candace Pert

World-class neuroscientist Candace Pert, who discovered the opiate receptor back in the 1970s (and from there scientists discovered endorphins), describes how our "molecules of emotions" have a huge influence on the working of our bodies and our well being. Her model of how the body's "informational molecules" flow and resonate, distributing information to every cell in the body simultaneously, has unlocked the secret of how emotions literally transform our bodies - and create our health.

Up there with Bruce Lipton, she is totally inspiring

Green For Life by Victoria Boutenko

The Green Smoothie revolution is here! Boutenko explains why greens are so good for us and shows us how we can boost our nutritional levels in as delicious a way as possible! Although it contains only a few pages of recipes, these will give you confidence to start experimenting yourself. Inspiring and totally compelling why we should include greens in our diet daily!

Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon and Mary Enig

A cookbook brimming with recipes and good old fashioned common sense information. As the title suggests, it looks at how our ancestors prepared foods for health. It includes sections on why fats are good for us, fermented foods, sprouting, soups, main courses, breads and desserts. Each of the recipe pages contains nutritional and historical snippets, which helps to make it such an invaluable addition to any cookbook collection.

Healing with Whole Foods by Paul Pitchford

A blend of Asian Traditions and Modern Nutrition, exploring the relationship between food and healing. This book looks at health via Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) but also contains invaluable chapters on "modern" nutrition (eg, oils and fats, calcium, B12, green foods such as spirulina) and a wonderful recipe section of 300 mostly vegetarian nutrient-packed dishes (including a useful section on seaweeds).

This book helps you to understand why we need to drink water if we want to be healthy. Dr Batmanghelidj explains how common conditions such as asthma, dyspepsia, migraine and arthritis to name but a few are simply the body's cries for more water.

THE book on fats and oils! A comprehensive guide to the sometimes confusing world of fats, showing you which fats we need for health and which are positively damaging.  It shows how manufacturing processes turn healing fats into killing fats and their effects on human health. A very simple read explaining how our natural immunity works and questioning the efficacy of vaccinations. Recommended reading for parents wondering whether to have their children immunised.

It's the thought that counts - David Hamilton

The first of book in a fantastic series by David Hamilton. The idea that form follows thought and feeling is not a new one to mystics, but quantum physicists have now shown that this to be a scientifically proven reality. Everything in the universe is connected, so our thoughts DO count, not just for ourselves but for those around us.
